Facing the needs of the times:the development of graduate education in national universities during the period of the comprehensive War of Resistance Against Japan
During the period of the comprehensive War of Resistance Against Japan,the Nationalist Gov-ernment,which was tasked with both national independence and modernization,established the strategic di-rection of"Resistance and National Construction".During the period of national crisis,national universities adapted to the changing times and transformed the concept and methods of graduate education,gradually form-ing the characteristics of"facing the needs of the times"in graduate education.During this period,national universities strengthened their control and coordination of graduate student training to meet the different needs of"Resistance and National Construction".They turned to the concept of"equal emphasis on curriculum and research"to cultivate professional talents needed for"Resistance and National Construction";they implemen-ted industry-education cooperation based on national conditions to solve practical problems in"Resistance and National Construction".
