An examination of the types and logical follow-through in the construction of rural teachers'public identity:based on the analysis within the"Embeddedness-Publicness"framework
Rural teachers are valuable human resources in rural society.In the context of rural revitaliza-tion,there is a significant expectation for rural teachers to revive their public identity.Previous research has primarily focused on theoretical frameworks and strategic logic regarding the construction of rural teachers'public identity,neglecting how these teachers,as key figures in rural society,realize the construction of pub-lic identity in real educational contexts through implicit mechanisms and deeper logic.This study is based on the accumulation of experiential facts and establishes an"Embeddedness-Publicness"analytical framework for the construction of rural teachers'public identity.Four types of public identity have been identified arising from the intersection of two dimensions of explanatory variables:Mature,Diluted,Marginal,and Potential.The findings reveal that the differences in the effectiveness of rural teachers'initial identity construction deter-mine the necessity for individuals to supplement their public identity construction through either embeddedness or publicness.The coupling of conditions such as habitual practices,recognition by others,and emotional ac-quisition collectively drives individuals from the initial state of public identity construction to a mature state.
