The Social Implications of the Status Identity of Private Business Owners
The simultaneous development of economy and society is the promise of high-quality development.The existing literature has excavated various influencing factors of the status identity of business owners.What the social consequences will be brought by the status identity?This paper holds that the status identity of business owners will have an impact on relevant social relations.Based on the empirical analysis of the survey of private enterprises in China,it is found that with the improvement of status identity,business owners are more likely to accept the decentralized governance model,have higher employee welfare,and are more willing to invest in charitable donations.Further mechanism analysis shows that the improvement of management confidence is the main mechanism of status identity.This shows that improving the status identity of private business owners can make the business owners have a more positive attitude and further promote the high-quality development of the private economy.
