The Social Communication Model and Characteristics of Private Entrepreneurs in the New Era
Based on social capital theory,this paper analyzes the impact of the market position of private entrepreneurs on their social capital,utilizing data from the China Private Enterprise Survey(2018).The findings indicate that private business owners with higher market positions are more inclined to engage with fellow business owners and professional technicians,thereby gaining a comparative ad-vantage in the social sphere.Moreover,the study reveals an inverted U-shaped relationship between mar-ket position and social capital.As market position transitions from low to high,mid-level private busi-ness owners tend to have a more diversified social capital structure.In contrast,those at higher levels ex-hibit more specialized social capital.This discovery not only highlights the differentiation of social capi-tal across market positions but also underscores the importance of recognizing the role of social capital in the closure of social circles,offering significant insights for optimizing the business environment.
