Experimental Study on Strength and Deformation Characteristics of Ancient Seawall Block Stones
The Qiantang River ancient seawalls are block stone masonry structures. The strength index and deformation characteristics of the rock are very important for the normal service of the ancient seawalls.Based on the block stone of the ancient seawalls, the conventional triaxial test was carried out on the granite, and the strength and deformation characteristics of the rock samples were analyzed under different confining pressures. The results show that there are five stages of granite deformation. In the confining pressure range of 2.5 to 10 MPa,shear failure is the main failure stage. The elastic modulus, peak strength and peak axial strain increase with the increase of confining pressure, but Poisson's ratio has no correlation with the magnitude of confining pressure.
