Optimization and Dispatching Method of Multi-source Combined Water Supply in Island Area—Case study of Daishan County
Addressing the pressing issue of freshwater scarcity, particularly in island regions of China,a study was conducted on scheduling methods aiming at enhancing water resource efficiency. The main objectives of the study involved the creation of inflow and water usage prediction models, the development of a mathematical framework for reservoir operations, and the optimization of water resource management.A case study focusing on Daishan County in Zhejiang Province,China, was utilized to quantify the effects of the implemented scheduling methods on reducing water wastage and improving water resource utilization.Findings revealed that the lowest empty reservoir coefficient in Daishan County was 0.738 in March, with an average reservoir storage rate of 67.19%.The scheduling approach significantly mitigated water wastage, elevated the coefficient of water usage and improved the irrigation assurance rate. This study offers an efficient solution for alleviating freshwater shortages in islands and other water-scarce regions, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of water resource management.
