Exploring the Idea of Water Conservancy Heritage Protection——Based on the Investigation of the Ancient seawalls by the Qiantang River in Haining
The ancient seawalls of the Qiantang River in the Ming and Qing dynasties are an important barrier in the estuary area of Hangzhou Bay,and have been bearing the burden of resisting the tide since the date of its completion. As a water conservancy project, the seawalls have been continuously maintained and renovated in history, which are also the fundamental condition for the survival and function of the seawalls. In order to ensure the flood control and tidal control function of the ancient seawalls and the safety of cultural relics, the application of the concept of"repairing the old as the old"should pay attention to the definition of the concept of the ancient seawalls,so that the daily maintenance can be carried out smoothly.
