Research on Modeling of Underground Cavern Based on Parametric Cross Section
In the hydropower station projects, the underground cavern group is of great complexity and variety. Its 3D modeling research is mostly carried out on conventional sections, which can not deal with complicated or special sections, and can not fully meet the design requirements. In view of this situation, this paper establishes a cross-sectional model with a point-line-shape list as the data structure and a reference relationship as the geometric constraint. As a result, the caverns of various styles are parametrically expressed, and the 3D models are created by lofting the front and rear section profiles. This modeling method is not only suitable for equal cross-section caverns, but also for variable cross-section caverns. The cavern transition of the same shape uses parameters to achieve the change of size, and the transition of the different shapes realizes the change according to the correspondence between the front and rear sections. The case verification shows that the method gives full play to the advantages of parameter driven modeling, and meets the requirements of rapid creation and updating of cavern models with different sections.
