On Optimization of Excavation Scheme for Small Clear Distance Tunnel in Weak Surrounding Rock near Reservoir
Based on the Fangjun Tunnel of Yidong Expressway, optimization and comparison of excavation plans for small clear distance tunnels in soft surrounding rocks near reservoirs were conducted.Tunnel models for the two excavation schemes before and after optimization are established by using the finite element software Midas· GTS·NX.Combined numerical simulation results with on-site monitoring data, the distribution of stress,dis-placement,and plastic zone in the surrounding rock of the tunnel are analyzed and compared. The results show that from the mechanical perspective, the control effects of the two schemes on the stability of surrounding rock are not significantly different. When the surrounding rock conditions are good, the method of retaining core soil can play a good role in ensuring construction safety, reducing construction costs, and shortening the construction period.Considering the geological conditions and characteristics of the construction method, the modified core soil method is more in line with the actual engineering situation.
