On Formation and Contribution of Academic School of Contemporary Xianghu Studies
The academic school is the most important school in contemporary Xianghu Studies,which took shape in the early 1980s and came into being in the early 21st century.After the establishment of Xianghu Research Insti-tute in 2010,it has been consolidated and expanded,expanding to Jiangsu,Beijing,Chongqing,Sichuan,Tian-jin,Shandong,Guizhou and other places,with the exception of Hangzhou and Shanghai.The research team has further consolidated and expanded,and formed the unique characteristics in studying Xianghu,attaching great importance to textual research and conducting the study on Xianghu from a multidisciplinary perspective.There have been many enthusiasts in the school of Xianghu Studies,which inherit and carry forward the basic methods of traditional Chinese historiography research,effectively promote the formation and development of Xianghu Studies,as well as the development and utilization of Xianghu,which is of great significance.
