Analysis of Rainfall Infiltration in Levee of Changxing Section of Taihu Lake
Long-term heavy rainfall will affect the stability of levees. In order to verify the influence of rainfall in-filtration on the stability of levee,by using ABAQUS finite element analysis software, the rainfall infiltration in levee in Changxing Section of Huzhou is simulated and analyzed. The seepage field and stress field are coupled fluid-structure,and the slope infiltration, displacement change and safety of the levee after 72 hours of rainfall are analyzed. The study shows that due to the poor permeability of the levee soil, the rainwater accumulates at the bottom of the silty clay layer of the levee, which increases the moisture content and bulk density of the soil, resulting in increased settlement and stress of the levee. The strength reduction method is adopted to calculate the stability of the safety factor of the levee after rainfall infiltration. The result shows that it is greater than the allowable minimum safety value for the levee, therefore, the stability of the levee still meets the requirements after rainfall infiltration. Finally,by analyzing the influence of soil permeability coefficient and pore ratio on the permeability of levee,it is concluded that the larger the permeability coefficient or pore ratio, the smaller the pore pressure in soil.
