Experience and Enlightenment from Exercise Risk Screening and Exercise Recommendations after Recovery from COVID-19 Infection
Patients with COVID-19 who exercise after recovering from infection may be at risk for exacerbation of symptoms, cardiovascular accidents, and sudden death, which can seriously affect their life health and recovery process. In this paper, the potential risks of exercise in patients recovering from CO VID-19 infection,pre-exercise risk screening criteria, and exercise programs for this population were systematically reviewed and analyzed using lit-erature-based and logical analysis methods. The results showed that exercise immediately after recovery from COV-ID-19 infection is associated with higher risks to the cardiovascular and respiratory systems and special attention should be paid to the control of exercise intensity.A comprehensive screening and assessment of the exercise system, respiratory and cardiovascular systems, and nervous system should be performed before resuming exercise. This pa-per summarizes the experience of exercise rehabilitation after recovery from COVID-19 infection and suggests the es-tablishment of a pre-exercise risk screening and assessment system for patients recovering from CO VID-19 infec-tion that is applicable to our national situation,as well as the development of exercise programs based on individual differences and the degree of disease, and the implementation of exercise in accordance with the principle of gradual and progressive progress and continuous monitoring during exercise, with the aim of improving the safety and effec-tiveness of exercise rehabilitation for patients with COVID-19.The aim is to improve the safety and efficacy of exer-cise rehabilitation in patients with COVID-19 and to provide experience with exercise rehabilitation for similar infec-tious diseases that may arise in the future.
