A Study on the Cultural Characteristics and Protection of Old Sports Place Names in Zhejiang Province
The of old sports place names are an important part of sports cultural heritage.Zhejiang has a long history and culture,diverse geographical environment,and rich resources of old sports place names.This paper aims to study the cultural characteristics of old sports place names in Zhejiang Province and the ways for their protection.The re-sults showed that the old sports place names originated from ancient Zhejiang remembered fishing,dragon boat,shooting archery,fencing,martial arts,chess,hiking,and other types of sports activities,echoes of the history of the oars sword shadow,hiking,and chess game,and obvious Wu-Yue lingering charm.The old sports place names originated in the period from 1840 to 1949,mainly sports schools,stadiums,chess clubs,and so on,reflecting the integration of Chinese and Western sports culture,impelling the ancestor's dream and pursuit by using sports to save the country and strengthen the motherland.The old sports place names were named by famous persons,by specific regions,or by the influencing events in history.In the background of rapid urbanization,its protection is facing a se-vere impact.The main paths to protect and inherit the cultural heritage of the old sports place names are as follows:to mine and collate the information of the old sports place names and to establish a database put it into various protection lists at all levels,integrate sports and tourism,and iteratively upgrade its sports cultural functions,innovatively res-urrect some vanished old sports place names.
