Implementation Pathways of University Public Physical Education Curriculum Ideology and Politics from the Perspective of Virtue Cultivating:Empirical Analysis Based on Mediation Effect
Objective:Based on the Self-Determination Theory,implementation pathways of university public philoso-phy education curriculum ideology and politics were to be explored from the perspective of cultivating the character,Method:1594 college students were investigated using the Need Support in Physical Education Scale,and Multidi-mensional Sports Moral Trait Scale,and Basic Psychological Need Scale.The mediating role of basic psychological need satisfaction on the correlation between need support in physical education and sports ethics development was ana-lyzed.Result:It was found that the three scales were scored differently between male and female students,grade 1 and 2 students,and students with different views on whether physical activities benefit sports ethics development;correlations were found among the variables;autonomy need satisfaction masked the correlation between need support in physical education and sports ethics while competence and relatedness need satisfaction partially mediated.Conclu-sion:Suggestions were proposed concerning instruction design in university ideological and political education in pub-lic physical education curriculum according to gender features,advocating the spiritual function of physical education to new college students,and balancing providing autonomy need support and promising healthy development of students'sports ethics.
