Clinical significance of miR-381-3p and miR-124 detection for depressive adolescents with different degrees of cognitive im-pairment and therapeutic effect
Objective To explore the clinical significance of miR-381-3p and miR-124 detection for depressive adolescents with different degrees of cognitive impairment and therapeutic effect.Methods A total of 86 adolescent patients with depression admitted to the Shaoxing Seventh People's Hospital from January 2020 to April 2022 were selected as the study subjects.Among them,there were 31 cases of cognitive dysfunction before treatment,including 14 mild cases,12 moderate cases and 5 severe cases,and 55 cases of non-cognitive dysfunctions.All of them received psychological intervention,cognitive therapy,and repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy combined with Escitalopram oxalate and olanzapine oral treatment for 3 months.Before treatment,their degrees of cognitive dysfunction were assessed with the simple mental state checklist,and the relative expression levels of miR-381-3p and miR-124 were detected.After 3 months of treatment,Hamilton anxiety rating scale and Hamilton depression scale were used to evaluate the efficacy.The relative expression levels of miR-381-3p and miR-124 were compared between the cognitive dysfunction and non-cognitive dysfunction groups,and between patients with different degrees of cognitive dysfunction and different therapeutic effects.ROC curve was used to analyze the predictive efficacy of miR-381-3p and miR-124 alone or in combination.Results The relative expression level of miR-381-3p in the cognitive dysfunction group was significantly lower than that of the group without cognitive dysfunction(P<0.05),while the relative expression level of miR-124 was significantly higher(P<0.05).The relative expression levels of miR-381-3p and miR-124 in patients with different degrees of cognitive dysfunction were statistically significantly different(all P<0.05),of which,the relative expression levels of miR-381-3p were mild>moderate>severe(all P<0.05),while that of miR-124 was severe>moderate>mild(all P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment,66 cases showed good curative effect,while 20 cases received poor efficacy.The relative expression level of miR-381-3p in the poor treatment group was significantly lower than that of the good treatment group(P<0.05),while the relative expression level of miR-124 was significantly higher(P<0.05).The AUC of miR-381-3p and miR-124 independently predicting the clinical efficacy was 0.719 and 0.695,respectively,while the AUC of the combined detection was 0.782,indicating that the efficacy of the combined detection was significantly higher than that of the single detection(both P<0.05).Conclusion The combined detection of miR-381-3p and miR-124 is helpful to evaluate the severity of cognitive impairment and predict the clinical efficacy of adolescents with depression.
