Serum levels of seven lung cancer-related autoantibodies in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant lung ground-glass nodules
Objective To investigate the value of serum seven lung cancer-related autoantibodies(7-AABs)in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant lung ground-glass nodules(GGN).Methods A total of 89 patients with pulmonary GGN admitted to Taizhou Central Hospital from May 2022 to July 2023 were enrolled in the study, including 68 cases of lung cancer(lung cancer group)and 21 cases of benign GGN(benign GGN group)according to the pathological diagnosis.Serum levels of 7-AABs,carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)and squamous cell carcinoma antigen(SCC)were compared between the two groups. The ROC curve was used to analyze the diagnostic efficacy of 7-AABs,CEA and SCC or in combination for differentiating between benign and malignant GGN.Results There were no significant differences in serum levels of 7-AABs,CEA and SCC between lung cancer group and benign GGN group(all P>0.05).The AUC of 7-AABs,CEA and SCC for differential diagnosis of benign and malignant GGN were 0.627,0.534 and 0.513,respectively.The AUC of 7-AABs+CEA,7-AABs+SCC,7-AABs+CEA+SCC,7-AABs+CEA+SCC,7-AABs+CEA+SCC+gender+age+smoking was 0.657,0.631,0.667,0.703,respectively.Conclusion Serum 7-AABs combined with CEA,SCC,gender, age, and smoking history may improve the differentiating ability between benign of malignant GGN.
