Current situation and influencing factors of knowledge, attitude, and practice of nurses in operating room on preventing medical-device related pressure injury
Objective To explore the current situation and analyze the influencing factors of knowledge, attitude, and practice(KAP)of nurses in operating room on preventing medical device-related pressure injury(MDRPI).Methods From August to December 2022,a total of 620 operating room nurses from secondary and above hospitals in different regions of Zhejiang Province were selected as the research objects by using convenience sampling and cluster sampling.A cross-sectional survey was conducted using a self-made operating room nurse's MDRPI KAP scale, and multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of operating room nurses'MDRPI KAP.Results The questionnaires'effective response rate was 99.84%.The scores of overall KAP,knowledge, attitude, and practice were 76.90±26.15,34.82±10.34,13.69±4.72 and 28.39±10.49,respectively.The results of regression analysis showed that hospital type and professional title were the main influencing factors on the KAP on preventing MDRPI in surgical room nurses(all P<0.001).Conclusion The KAP level of surgical room nurses in Zhejiang Province on preventing MDRPI is relatively low, mainly influenced by the type of hospital and professional title. Therefore, managers need to provide relevant KAP training through various ways for nurses and to improve their behavioral abilities, thus reducing the occurrence of MDRPI.
