Prevalence and genotype distribution of HPV infection among 70 387 females in Hangzhou Xiaoshan district over the last 3 years
Objective To analyze the prevalence and genotype distribution of human papilloma virus(HPV)infection among 70 387 females in Hangzhou Xiaoshan district.Methods A total of 70 387 female subjects who underwent HPV tests in Affiliated Xiaoshan Hospital,Hangzhou Normal University from January 2020 to December 2022 were enrolled in the study.The cervical exfoliated cell samples were taken and HPV genotyping was conducted using PCR and capillary electrophoresis.Results Among 70 387 subjects,positive HPV infection was detected in 17 119 cases with an infection rate of 24.32%.The most common genotypes were high-risk HPV52(23.80%),followed by low-risk HPV81(13.05%),high-risk HPV53(12.33%),high-risk HPV58(12.18%),high-risk HPV16(9.60%),high-risk HPV51(9.54%),and low-risk HPV6(8.11%).There were significant variations in infection rates among different age groups,with the highest rates observed in those aged<25 years(35.52%)and ≥60 years(29.87%).Conclusion The prevalence of HPV infection among women in Hangzhou Xiaoshan district is relatively high,with a predominance of single high-risk HPV subtypes;and individuals under 25 years and over 60 years exhibit higher infection rates.
