Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Er∶YAG laser combined with implant shaping surgery in the treatment of peri-implantitis(PI).Methods A total of 60 PI patients treated at Shaoxing Stomatological Hospital from January 2020 to June 2023 were retrospectively selected.Among them,30 patients were treated with Er∶YAG laser combined with implant shaping surgery as the observation group;another 30 patients were treated with implant shaping surgery as the control group.The efficacy of two groups of patients,including pain levels[the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score]before and 3 months after treatment,and periodontal indicators were compared.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(100.00％vs.80.00％,P＜0.05).After three months of treatment,VAS scores in both groups were lower than those before treatment(all P＜0.05),and the VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).After 3 months of treatment,the plaque index,sulcus bleeding index,and peri-implant probing depth in both groups were lower than those before treatment(all P＜0.05),and the above indicators in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(all P＜0.05).Conclusion Er∶YAG laser combined with implant shaping surgery has a significant effect on the treatment of PI,which can reduce pain and improve periodontal environment.It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
