The article mainly systematically expounds the clinical thinking and experience of Profes-sor WANG Qingqi,a famous old Chinese medicine practitioner in China,who flexibly applies"The elderly are treated from the Fu"to the treatment of constipation in the elderly from the as-pects of theory tracing,treatment points,medication rules and clinical trials.Professor Wang believes that the treatment of constipation in the elderly should first strengthen the stomach qi,should not to drastic purgation,and to regulate the five viscera so that the fu can be cleared.There are four characteristics to regulate the fu:Supplementing and purging each other;Adjust the rise and fall of qi;Nourishing the blood and generating fluids;Yin and Yang nourish each other,which achieves satisfactory therapeutic effects.
