[Purpose/Significance]Regional think tank alliance is an important carrier for the construction of new think tanks with Chinese characteristics.This paper provides an innovative theoretical exploration of the evolu-tion path and development mechanism of regional think tank alliance on symbiosis theory,aming to extend research in the field and provide a useful reference for the stable development of regional think tank alliance.[Method/Pro-cess]On the basis of clarifying the elements of regional think tank alliance symbiosis system,the symbiosis evolution paths of alliance are analyzed from two directions:symbiosis organization modes and symbiosis behavior modes.The symbiosis evolution model of regional think tank alliance based on the Lotka-Volterra equation is constructed,and the evolution law and equilibrium state of interactions among regional think tank alliance members under different symbiosis behavior modes are discussed by analyzing the stability conditions of the model and performing simula-tions.Finally,the development mechanism for the symbiosis development of regional think tank alliance is proposed.[Result/Conclusion]Based on quality parameter compatibility principle,the symbiosis energy generation principle,the symbiosis system evolution principle and the symbiosis system phase change principle,the development mecha-nisms for the symbiosis development of regional think tank alliance include the environmental induction mechanism,the interface capacitation mechanism,the energy coordination mechanism and the metabolism mechanism.
