[Purpose/Significance]The functional change of Chinese government white paper is intrinsically related to the logic of promoting Chinese modernization.This paper aims to provide some reference for the func-tional improvement of white paper and the subsequent promotion of Chinese modernization.[Method/Process]By analyzing the content of 162 white papers,this study delineates the evolution interval of the white papers ac-cording to the time period,uses the word frequency analysis to identify the evolution characteristics of the white papers,and combines this with the practical effects of various stages of Chinese-type modernization to identify the internal correlation between these two things.[Result/Conclusion]The evolutionary trajectory of the white paper aligns with the promotion logic of Chinese-style modernization.From the initial process of resolving doubts and demonstrating developmental achievements,the white papers have gradually shifted to a richer and more diver-sified image portrayal,from the Western conceptual framework seeking international recognition to the Chinese characteristics of self-value expression.The key time points where significant thematic changes occur in the white papers are highly correlated with the landmark events marking the expansion and promotion of the modernization process in China.The white paper fully bears witness to the evolution and development of Chinese-type modern-ization in five aspects:politics,economy,culture,society and ecology.
