[Purpose/Significance]Talents are the core competitiveness for the development of new think tanks with Chinese characteristics.Concerning the development and construction of science and technology think tanks,it is of great significance to have a deep understanding of the structure and distribution of the talent teams.[Method/Process]This paper analyzes the personal resume information of 1,606 talents in science and technolo-gy think tanks based on the curriculum vitae(CV)analysis method,depicting the current status and characteristics of talents in science and technology think tanks.[Result/Conclusion]The study reveals that as for the talents in science and technology think tanks,the average age is 57.93,with the number of male talents being about four times that of their female counterparts;the overall educational level is relatively high with strong interdisciplinary backgrounds;the title distribution is of an inverted pyramid structure with the majority having senior titles;the administrative positions present a bimodal distribution with the peaks as officials of county or division level and department or bureau level;more than 60%of the talents have professional mobility experiences.Therefore,it is suggested,in terms of the talent team construction of science and technology think tanks,to increase the focus on female talents in science and technology think tanks,enhance the role of senior talents in science and technology think tanks in passing on knowledge and experience,continuously strengthen comprehensive training and practice for talents in science and technology think tanks,and conduct further studies in terms of the talent mobility in sci-ence and technology think tanks.
