[Purpose/Significance]It is proposed that in the current context of China entering a new era of comprehensive development of new quality productive forces,university libraries should undergo a further trans-formation of their service concepts,with a particular focus on improving their think tank service capabilities.They should also assist in the innovation of think tank organizations affiliated with universities,and contribute inno-vative strength to the times.[Method/Process]An analysis of the requirements and necessity of improving the service capabilities of university libraries in the context of the era of new quality productivity is required.Based on the current status of think tank service capabilities in university libraries,it is proposed that improvement paths be considered,including transforming the think tank service concept,establishing specialized think tank service departments,strengthening basic guarantee capabilities,enhancing social service awareness,strengthening collab-orative relationship construction,and promoting digital transformation.[Result/Conclusion]It is concluded that strengthening the awareness of serving the development of new quality productivity and enhancing think tank ser-vice capabilities in university libraries can better assist school innovation and empower the development of new quality productivity.
