Identification of Fusarium diseases on Cymbidium sinense and Phalaenopsis amabilis
Fusarium diseases on Cymbidium sinense and Phalaenopsis amabilis in Guangdong were identified. After the pathogenicity of single-conidium isolates was verified, pathogens were identified via morphological observation and sequence analyses of ITS and EF-1α.The results showed that pseudobulb rot of C.sinense was caused by Fusarium oxysporum, and that leaf butt rot and flower stalk rot of P.amabilis were caused by F.solani and by F.fujikuroi,respectively.This is the first report of F.fujikuroi as a pathogen on moth orchid.
