Combination of parallel and scattered style in HAN Yu's Fu
HAN Yu's development of Saoti Fu and the invention of New Wenfu is of great significance for the develop-ment of ancient Chinese stylistics.While seeing HAN Yu's profound influence on the reform and changes of literary style,we can notice that his articles are composed of parallel and scattered works.As an ancient writer,HAN Yu did not deliber-ately reject parallel prose.There are three reasons:firstly,the development of literary style is becoming increasingly diverse and gorgeous,and parallel prose style has irreplaceable performance in some aspects;Secondly,the use of parallel prose in Tang Dynasty's official documents provided objective social security for the development of parallel prose;Once again,HAN Yu's conscious awareness of inheriting"orthodoxy"led to his elegant and precise language.
