A literature review of research progress in nutritional therapy for perioperative colorectal cancer patients
Colorectal cancer(CRC)is one of the most common gastrointestinal malignancies,and colorectal cancer patients generally suffer from malnutrition during the perioperative period,which will be detrimental to their postoperative recovery.Reasonable nutritional treatment during the perioperative period can improve the patient's nutritional status,which will be beneficial for improving prognosis.This article will comprehensively review and summarize the latest research progress in nutritional therapy for perioperative colorectal cancer patients,including:patient nutritional risk screening,nutritional assessment,nutritional treatment pathway selection,timing,determination of energy and macronutrients,nutritional education and dietary prescription,selection of enteral nutrition supplements,and selection of parenteral nutrition route and formula.Meanwhile,this article briefly discusses the existing problems in this field
