Characteristics and Identification of Dalbergia Oliveri and Dialium Platysepalum Wood with Similar Appearance
In this paper,the characteristics of macrocosm and microcosm were compared and analyzed between Dalbergia oliveri and Dialium platysepalum wood in order to explore the effective identification methods.The results showed that there were significant differences in the essential characteristics such as vessels,axial parenchyma,and wood ray and wood fiber between Dalbergia oliveri and Dialium platysepalum wood.The most distinguishing feature of the two types of wood is the smell,and the most obvious difference in the microstructural features is in wood ray.The conclusion provided reference for the producers,operators and consumers of wood and its products.
