How Consultative Democracy is Effective:From the Perspective of the Masses
Consultative democracy has become the most important way to resolve various conflicts in modern so-ciety,but to what extent it is effective is a controversial topic. Consultation does not automatically reach consen-sus,and inappropriate consultation may even become an important trigger for conflicts,leading to"consultative failure". From the perspective of the masses,the effectiveness of consultative democracy requires addressing the organic connection between information,procedures,and interests. In the face of various internal contradic-tions among the people under the new situation,effective practice of consultative democracy cannot be limited to procedural design,but must respond to the issue of how to promote open decision-making and continuously improve the mechanism for adopting,implementing,and feedback on consultative results.
