Multi-Modality Imaging for Differential Diagnosis Between Postoperative Scar Formation and Brest Cancer Recurrence in Patients with Breast Conserving Surgery
Breast cancer is the most common malignancies among women worldwide, and the proportion of breast cancer patients opting for breast-conserving surgery(BCS)is increasing.How-ever,the formation of postoperative scars and their differentiation from postoperative recurrence of breast cancer have become key issues in clinical management. This review summarized the staging and pathological characteristics of postoperative scar formation and the application of various imaging techniques in the diagnosis of scars after breast-conserving surgery for breast cancer,in-cluding ultrasonography, mammography, and magnetic resonance imaging.Although no single imaging modality can completely differentiate postoperative scars from postoperative recurrence of breast cancer,a comprehensive analysis of different imaging features can provide valuable clues and guidance for clinical decision-making.
