Results of Colorectal Cancer Screening in Wenling City of Zhejiang Province from 2020 to 2023
[Objective]To analyse the results of colorectal cancer early diagnosis and treatment program in Wenling City of Zhejiang Province from 2020 to 2023.[Methods]From 2020 to 2023,a cluster sampling method was used to select residents aged 50~74 years in Wenling City.All participants underwent a questionnaire survey on risk assessment of colorectal cancer and fecal immunochemical test(FIT)as initial screening,the high-risk subjects of colorectal cancer were then subject to colonoscopy.[Results]Among 380 177 target subjects in Wenling City,192 205 people participated in screening with a participation rate of 50.56%.A total of 35 428 people were identified as at high risk with a high risk rate of 18.43%,among whom 10 213 people un-derwent colonoscopy with a compliance rate of 28.83%.Colonoscopy detected 7 786 lesions with a detection rate of 76.24%,2 160 were non-adenomatous benign lesions,3 403 were non-pro-gressing adenomas,2 048 were progressing adenomas,and 175 were colorectal cancers,with a detection rate of 21.15%,33.32%,20.05%and 1.71%,respectively.The detection rates of non-progressive adenomas,progressive adenomas and colorectal cancers were higher in males than those in females(all P<0.05).The top three towns with higher detection rates of progressive adenomas and colorectal cancers were Shitang(32.84%),Shiqiaotou(24.31%)and Xinhe(23.77%).[Conclusion]Residents of Wenling City have a high risk of colorectal cancer;the compliance of colonoscopy is generally good;the detection rates of non-adenomatous benign lesions,non-progressing adenomas,and progressing adenomas are high and show a increasing trend from 2020 to 2023.
