Study on static adsorption of formaldehyde by a new reduced graphene oxide air filter material
The formaldehyde adsorption properties of a new reduced graphene oxide(RGO)air filter material were studied. The effect of formaldehyde concentration, air tem-perature and humidity on formaldehyde adsorption capacity of a new RGO air filter mate-rial was investigated and its adsorption mechanism was analyzed, and its recycling per-formance was explored by heating desorption and displacement desorption. The results showed that the new RGO air filter material had a good adsorption capacity for formalde-hyde.Under the conditions of initial concentration of 8 mg/m3,temperature of 26 ℃ and humidity of 50%,the adsorption capacity for formaldehyde was 0.217 mg/g.However,the adsorption capacity decreases with the increase of temperature. The effect of humidity on the adsorption capacity increased first and then decreased, and the adsorption capacity reached the maximum when the relative humidity was about 60%.The Langmuir model fitted the adsorption isotherm better.Secondly, the effect of displacement desorption was better than that of heating desorption. After five cycles, the desorption rates can reach 85%and 52%,respectively.
