Research on the field failure rate distribution of household air conditioners with geographical regions
The field failure rate of domestic air conditioners shows significant geo-graphical variability.In order to quantitatively study the pattern of field failure rates of do-mestic air-conditioners operating in mainland China with the distribution of geographical regions.Firstly,the associated functional after-sales failure data were extracted from the after-sales service information to obtain multiple timing truncation data for each provincial administrative unit.Secondly,the multi-timed truncated data for each provincial adminis-trative unit were calculated using the great likelihood estimation method to obtain the esti-mated field failure rate of their air conditioners.Finally,taking a certain type of home air conditioner as an example,air conditioner field failure rates for 31 provinces in mainland China were obtained using after-sales failure data.The relationship between the site failure rate of each province and the overall site failure rate was obtained.And regional clustering analysis of site failure rates,quantitatively reveal the distribution pattern of this type of household air conditioner with geographical regions in mainland China.The proposed method can be used to guide companies in targeting reliability improvement activities and developing more precise after-sales maintenance strategies.
