Paris polyphylla Smith var.chinensis（Franch.） Hara belonging to the genus paris is a kind of rare and endangered medicinal plants in central China.It has played an important role in traditional medicine development for tumors,bleeding,immunity adjustment,analgesia and so on.The chemical constituents,pharmacological activity and clinical application were reviewed in order to provide theoretical basis for rational exploitation and utilization of genus paris.
