Traditional garden was the vital element of traditional cultural heritage in China. How to protect appropriately and get it better dissemination and development was the most concerned problems. Based on the investigation of protecting Imperial Garden, Jiangnan Private Garden and Various Regions Local Garden, four protection modes and their advantages and disadvantages were summarized. The protecting-dominating exploitation mode which was suitable for our status situation was provided.
