[Objective]New high-quality herbicide-resistant varieties were selected to meet the needs of millet industry for new varieties.[Method]Chaogu 58 was selected as female parent and Chaogu 15 as male parent by Liaoning Dryland Agriculture and Forestry Research Institute.The variety through the national non-major crop variety registration in 2022,and registration number was GPD millet[2022]21097.[Result]Chao1459 with anti-naopujing herbicide,anti-lodging,short,tight code,suitable for mechanized harvest.Suitable for growing in Liaoning,Shanxi,Shaanxi,Chengde of Hebei and other regions with accumulated temperature of≥10 a℃and above 2 700 a℃.[Conclusion]The variety showed good yield and adaptability.
