Pinus tabuliformis was one of the preferred tree species for afforestation in arid areas.It had developed root system,anti-barren,drought-tolerant and cold-tolerant,fast forest formation rate,and could be widely used for wind prevention and sand fixation and soil and water conservation forest in arid areas.Based on the actual situation in Fuxin,this paper summarized the afforestation technology of P.tabuliformis in arid area from the aspects of forest land preparation,afforestation seedling preparation and forest management,so as to provide reference for improving the afforestation effect of P.tabuliformis in arid area.
