In order to meet the needs of corn production in Bijie City,Northwest Guizhou Plateau,and improve the efficiency of corn planting,Guizhou Xinzhong Seed Industry Co.,Ltd.used self-selected line Gx135 as the maternal parent and self-selected line 19H-162 as the paternal parent to form corn hybrid Xinzhongyu 9 in 2019.It had been approved by Guizhou Provincial Crop Variety Certification Committee in 2023.This variety had a whole growth period of 115 days,purple leaf sheath,8 to 9 male spike branches,tube-shaped fruit spike,yellow grain,high starch content,good grain quality.It had high resistance to small spot,ear rot,southern rust and gray spot.It was suitable for planting in the low-heat area of Guizhou and the surrounding ecological area.
