Breeding Process and Cultivation Application of High-quality Late Japonica Rice Yujing 2
The breeding process of Yujing 2 was expounded,and its main agronomic traits,yield performance,rice quality,comprehensive resistance and popularization and application were analyzed,and its cultivation points were put forward,in order to provide reference for the breeding and promotion of new varieties.Yujing 2 is a conventional late japonica rice variety with good quality and high yield,which was bred in 2017 by crossing Jiahua 1 as female parent and Zhendao 18 as male parent through several generations of resistance and taste quality selection.Its plant height is about 90 cm,the effective panicle is 315 million/hm2,the total number of grains per panicle is 151,the seed setting rate is more than 80%,and the 1 000-grain weight is 28.6 g.It has the characteristics of early maturity,fast filling,good color change,thick stem,strong stress resistance,wide adaptability and suitable for planting as wheat stubble rice.
