Research of the Impact of Light Color Cycle Variation on Visual Fatigue
This paper aims to investigate the impact of the color and periodic changes in road lighting on the visual fatigue of drivers.By conducting a study on visual characteristics under high-speed dynamic conditions, the relationship between spectral color and visual fatigue under comprehensive conditions was analyzed.Spectra were then selected from the perspective of inhibiting visual fatigue.Quantification of the subjects'visual fatigue levels was performed using the flash fusion frequency values. The study tested three different light colors and five sets of different light color change cycles to assess their impact on visual fatigue levels. The results show that, compared to white light, the blue light spectrum has a more pronounced effect in suppressing driver visual fatigue.Additionally,a color change cycle of 90 seconds demonstrated the most significant impact on inhibiting driver visual fatigue.
