Research on the Environmental Conditions of Photocatalytic Degradation of Formaldehyde
Formaldehyde is one of the main indoor air pollutants.Excessive formaldehyde concentration can pose a great danger to human health. It is urgent to degrade indoor formaldehyde.Photocatalytic degradation of formaldehyde is considered a green and pollution-free method of degradation. In this article,we conducted experiments on several important environmental conditions involved in photocatalytic degradation of formaldehyde(catalyst loading, initial formaldehyde concentration, relative humidity, and irradiance).Through this series of experiments, not only the optimal environmental conditions for photocatalytic degradation of formaldehyde was obtained, but also further standardized the photocatalytic detection conditions of ultraviolet catalytic light sources.Especially, irradiance has been overlooked in the field of photocatalysis. This experiment can help you obtain the optimal catalytic light intensity, thereby improving catalytic efficiency and reducing unnecessary energy consumption.
