Theoretical Study on Carbon Emission Calculation Method during the Operation Period of Urban Public Lighting Systems
The urban public lighting system,as an important component of municipal infrastructure, plays a significant role in energy conservation and emission reduction, which is crucial for China to achieve its"dual carbon"goals. This article focuses on the calculation of carbon emissions during the operation period of urban public lighting systems.Following traditional carbon emission classification methods, the emission sources throughout the operation period are categorized as direct emissions from energy consumption and indirect emissions from energy consumption. This categorization helps determine the detailed scope of carbon emissions calculation for urban public lighting systems.Meanwhile, the emission factor method is employed to establish a carbon emissions calculation model for the operation period of urban public lighting systems, based on principles of calculation domain and methodology. This model supports the framework establishment of a"carbon accounting platform for urban public lighting systems".
