Evaluation Methods of Non-Visual Biological Effects of Light and the Establishment of Its Quality Assessment Model
To provide a scientific basis for selecting research methods on the non-visual biological effects of light, this study used literature analysis to collect and screen 240 effective papers. It compared and evaluated 25 evaluation methods related to five human indicators:cognitive/attention levels, alertness, mood, sleep quality, and circadian phase.Research results:(1)a method quality assessment model was proposed, consisting of 14 method quality evaluation indicators across three dimensions:"method design","psychological evaluation characteristics",and"applicability of the method in light environment research";(2)a quality assessment model for evaluating the non-visual biological effects of light in comprehensive light environment research was constructed;(3)different quantitative analysis methods for various light environment characteristics were proposed. The establishment of a quality assessment model for evaluating the non-visual biological effects of light can provide a basis and recommendations for selecting methods in different types of light environment research. This,in turn, provides a theoretical foundation for the methodology of human factors engineering research in light environments.
