Study on the Impacts of Daytime LED Exposure Intervention on the Sleep of Young E-sports Trainees
In recent years,e-sports has rapidly developed globally as an emerging sport, leading to a significant increase in the number of e-sports players and trainees. However,to achieve better visual experiences and efficiency, daytime e-sports training often occurs in low brightness environments(horizontal illuminance<200 lx). This results in trainees lacking sufficient light stimulation, which can easily cause endocrine disorders, circadian rhythm disruptions, decreased sleep quality, visual fatigue, and reduced attention.Currently, research on the non-visual effects of light intensity, spectrum, timing, and duration on circadian rhythms is primarily focused on medical and office spaces. There is a lack of studies addressing these factors in e-sports training environments. Therefore, this paper focuses on e-sports trainees and the lighting environment of training spaces. It aims to improve visual fatigue, circadian rhythms, and sleep quality of e-sports trainees.Based on an investigation of the current lighting environment in e-sports training spaces and the trainees'training schedule, visual fatigue, and sleep quality, the study explores, through comparative experiments, the potential of adaptive exposure patterns designed from a circadian health perspective to alleviate visual fatigue, enhance attention, and improve sleep quality in e-sports trainees.
