Research on Light Pollution of Urban Commercial Districts Nightscape Lighting Based on Hyperspectral Data:A Case Study of Six Commercial Districts in Shanghai
With the rapid development of urbanization, urban night lighting has not only extended residents'activity hours, but has also become an essential part of urban life. However, the rapid growth of artificial nightscape lighting has led to severe light pollution issues, especially in international metropolises like Shanghai. To thoroughly investigate the light pollution caused by nightscape lighting and to analyse effective countermeasures, this study selected six core commercial districts in Shanghai as research subjects. From the pedestrian perspective,95 hyperspectral data units were collected.Through field tests and comparative data analysis, the study thoroughly explores the state of light pollution caused by urban nightscape lighting. The results indicated that the light environment in urban commercial districts is quite complex, with significant variations in light environment distribution across different commercial districts.Light pollution is severe, especially in some commercial districts where the brightness of LED screens significantly exceeds standard limits.Nightscape lighting also has a significant impact on the brightness of the night sky, while posing potential threats to the ecological environment. The research results provide guidance for lighting practitioners, policymakers, and the general public, while also offering assistance in addressing light pollution issues.
