Analysis of Low-level Linear Lighting Quality in Highway Tunnels
Outdoor low-level lighting has advantages such as good visual guidance, low light pollution, high luminous efficacy, and low maintenance and installation costs, making it widely used in urban landscape and outdoor road lighting.Compared to traditional high-level lighting in highway tunnels,it remains to be verified whether low-level lighting technology retains its unique advantages when applied to highway tunnel lighting,as well as whether it meets safety and comfort requirements. Therefore, the author employs numerical analysis to configure linear lighting in the middle section of the highway tunnel, and compares its lighting quality with that of point-source low-level lighting and high-level lighting. The analysis concludes that traditional spaced point-source lighting shows limited advantages for low-level lighting, with low luminous efficacy and significant glare issues. In contrast,low-level linear lighting with low luminous flux per fixture can somewhat reduce the negative impact of GR glare, while also enhancing surface uniformity and tunnel boundary recognition.
