The Current Status of Carbon Footprint Calculation and the Carbon Standards Development in the Lighting Industry
In order to break green trade barriers under the international"dual carbon"goals, improve the domestic carbon emissions monitoring and certification system, and establish a carbon standard framework,it is an urgent and necessary measure to systematically organize carbon footprint calculation methods. This article first explains the background of the"dual carbon"goals, then outlines the international carbon standard framework, and introduces the"dual carbon"database and software. Using lighting fixtures as an example, this article outlines the challenges in carbon footprint calculation across various stages, including raw material procurement, production, assembly, transportation, use and disposal. The aim is to help readers quickly understand the carbon footprint calculation process and its associated challenges. Additionally, the article provides insights on the development of carbon standards for the lighting industry.
