Research on the Visual Comfort of Multimedia Classrooms in Secondary Schools Based on Multi-Objective Optimization
With the strong promotion by the government, digitization and informatization in education have become increasingly important in educational development. The nationwide internet access rate in secondary schools has significantly improved, and multimedia classrooms are widely used. However, most of the current multimedia classrooms are merely traditional classrooms that have incorporated interactive whiteboards. Due to the design of lighting specifications for traditional classrooms, the addition of visual objects such as interactive electronic whiteboards in classrooms has led to a decrease in the visual comfort of students in multimedia classrooms. Through extensive survey and empirical research, this paper evaluates the factors affecting the visual comfort of secondary school multimedia classrooms and identifies the key evaluation elements. A Structural Equation Model ( SEM) is constructed, and AMOS software is used to analyze the factors affecting visual comfort in secondary school multimedia classrooms with interactive electronic whiteboards and their interrelationships. Three key optimization priorities are identified:the electronic whiteboard screen brightness, the blackboard lighting illuminance, and the overall lighting uniformity in the classroom. These factors are identified to improve the visual comfort of secondary school multimedia classrooms. The aim is to provide references for educators and designers in creating a visually comfortable and efficient learning environment in multimedia classroom lighting.
