Rural Land System Reform,Monopoly Power and Innovation in Agricultural Product Processing Enterprises
Innovation plays a crucial role in revitalizing rural industries and promoting high-quality agricultural development. This paper constructs the theoretical framework of how Chinese rural land system reform fosters competition and innovation in agricultural product processing enterprises from the perspective of the"Three Rights Separation".By treating the"Three Rights Separation"of agricultural land system reform as a quasi-natural experiment and utilizing difference-in-differ-ences method, this study takes empirically tests using the data of listed companies. The research findings are as follows. The implementation of the"Three Rights Separation"has a significant posi-tive impact on technological innovation in agricultural product processing enterprises, this effect is bigger for weak monopoly enterprises, these results remain robust when industry development trends, national policy influences and non-parallel trends are taken into account. The mechanism a-nalysis reveals that the"Three Rights Separation"promotes technological innovation by reducing the costs of agricultural product processing enterprises. Moreover, the innovation promoting effect of the"Three Rights Separation"is significantly higher in the processing of forest products com-pared to planting and breeding processing enterprises. This paper provides empirical evidence that contributes to a better understanding of the economic effects of Chinese rural land system reform.
