Slope stability analysis of a building foundation pit in Xiong'an New Area
Taking the slope of a building foundation pit in a residential area in Xiong'an New Area as an example, this paper uses the limit equilibrium method to analyze the overall and local stability of the slope under normal and heavy rainfall conditions. The results indicate that under normal conditions, both the overall and local stability of the foundation pit slope meet the specified requirements, confirming the slope stability.Under heavy rainfall conditions, the shallow pore water pressure of the slope increases, forming a transient saturation zone in the shallow layer. This leads to a shallower critical sliding surface and a decrease in the safety factor.Despite these changes, the slope remains generally stable under heavy rainfall conditions, with the upper terrace being fundamentally stable and the lower terrace being stable.
